Finally Chasing SOTA (Thanks Thomas!)

I’ve been aware of SOTA for ages, but since mountain-topping isn’t in my DNA, I never bothered to create an account.  Recently my POTA-pal K4SWL has done some SOTA activations, and I’ve worked him, marveling at his S9 signal strength (usually I am straining to copy his QRP signals deep in the woods someplace or another).

Now is as good a time as any to sign up for a SOTA account and start chasing.  I did that yesterday and discovered a significant difference between SOTA and POTA.  With POTA the activator uploads their logs, and hunters don’t have to do anything to obtain credit.  With SOTA BOTH the activator and chaser must upload their logs.

I entered both om my “rare” SOTA contacts with Thomas K4SWL today using the manual entry method and now see the following.  I guess I’m now SOTA Chaser Official.  Thank you Thomas!
