It’s gonna be a bumpy ride!

A major M-class (just shy of X-class) solar flare is on its way to hit earth sometime early tomorrow morning to late afternoon.

You can always find the latest space weather information here:  http://www.spaceweather.com/

Maybe some aurora activity?  http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/pmap/pmapN.html or here http://www.gi.alaska.edu/AuroraForecast

And here I was hoping for my first ARISSat-1 contact early tomorrow morning!

PS:  The Alaskan Aurora site is still talking about a minor flare from August 2nd that has already hit earth.  The flare that just happened early today is about 2 orders of magnitude larger, and is almost an order of magnitude larger than what is required to start causing trouble with satellites.  Not saying this is doom/gloom, just saying it is going to catch people’s attention.
