Momento for W1AW/1 RI Operation

When I checked the mail today, I was pleasantly surprised to find a small desk plaque commemorating my participation this past year as a W1AW/1 – RI station.  They mounted a centennial and W1AW challenge coin into an engraved case saying “WB4SON was W1AW/1 RI”  — VERY nice!

Check with your event coordinator (whom ever you signed up with) to be sure they provided the information that you were a W1AW/4 operator to the ARRL. I hope you get that resolved as it is a nice momento. As for the high price of the certificate — I considered that a contribution to the ARRL. Their expenses associated with the Centennial were quite high from what I was told — they are sending out hundreds of thousands of QSL cards, for example. 73, Bob, WB4SON
