Thank you snow!

In a way, I got back into the hobby in 2011 due to several huge back-to-back snowstorms.  I had bad cabin fever, and that drove me get back on the air just to have something to do other than working and staring at walls.

Here were are again, as you can see from the picture below.  We’ve had about 3x our usual annual snowfall amount, and the snows keep coming every few days.  We had the second coldest February in history.  And even before winter is over we have already slipped our way to the 2nd snowiest winter in history.  There is hope that spring is right around the corner (I saw my first cardinal this week — his bright red shining like a flame against the stark white background of snow.)  But it’s obvious that winter still has us clutched hard to his frozen chest.  Anyway, I’ll rationalize that my antennas are strung through the trees you can see below, and therefore the photo has something to do with ham radio.
